After School Respite Program

Socialize and Learn to skills to help regulate behaviors

Helping underserved, at-risk youth, and young adult males

After School Respite Program:

The Straight Path After-School Respite Program, gives underserved & at-risk youth with behavior health diagnosis a chance to socialize and learn skills that help them regulate their behaviors, manage their anger and connect with other boys that may be experiencing the same behaviors.

The Straight Path After-school respite program formally The Straight Path Program founded in 2018 is geared towards assisting young boys ages 5-18. Our younger group is from ages 5-12 on Tuesdays & Thursdays and ages 13-18 on Wednesdays & Fridays with outings one Saturday a month.

Our partnership with the Ohiorise Program, developed in 2022 through Governor Mike DeWine’s efforts to provide behavioral health services like therapy/ counseling & respite to those youth and families in desperate need.

Respite or Behavioral health respite services by definition, is to provide a break or short-term, temporary relief to the Parent/Guardian/Primary Caregiver of a youth with behavioral health diagnosis, in order to support and preserve the relationship between the child and the caregiver.

MOTIVATION

“I wanted to surround myself with the kind of people who could help me turn my life around; people whom I could rub up against like iron and be sharpened.”

The Field Trips Are Great!

My kids love going to all of the fun places The Straight Path goes, not only do they have a good time, they get to bond with other kids and learn things!
